Too Early for This Chick!

Friday, May 29th, 2009

Well, that's just what I was thinking this morning as I realized I had to be at my physical therapy appointment by 8am!! Goodness, that doesn't allow much time to get these muscles feeling "loosey goosey",  now does it?!!  But, I was up and at 'em!!  Furry baby fed, I had my b'fast, and hubby off to work…and, I stroll into PT at 7:55am!!  Woohoo!!  And, with a SMILE on my face!!  :)  I think even Willie was surprised because I have been telling them that I am just not an early morning person since I stay up so late (And, Willie stays up late, too, so he can relate!).  But, things are changing, my friends!!  Oh, yes, this chick is heading to bed before 3am now!!  I'll be the first to admit that although I am not happy about having to deal with this shoulder issue…well, you know that saying about "every cloud having a silver lining"?…I have been determined to find some good, positive things in all this, and I know I wouldn't have just started trying to go to bed earlier and being healthier about my sleeping patterns.  I had tried to do this many times, but unfortunately, our bodies tend to get in a bit of a habit when it comes to such.  So, I had trouble going to sleep earlier, would wake up many times during the middle of the night, become frustrated, and just resort to my old ways.  Now, I have had to enforce these changes!  There goes that body being all sassy again!!  So, you would think I might need a rooster like the one above to get me up early, but I sailed out of bed this morning…probably worried I would oversleep.  What am I thinking though…I do have my own personal ROOSTER….yep, when I am so sleepy, just wanting to stay in the bed, and John starts squawking at me to get up…well, he reminds me of this stern rooster above!! haha  **But, I still love him LOTS!!**

But, speaking of CHICKS…aren't these cute!!  This mama chicken was crossing the street with her babies right alongside when we were in Georgetown while staying in the Cayman Islands.  I couldn't resist snapping a few pics of this sweet family!  Just looks like they are saying "Wait up…we're coming!".

So, I'm saying, "Wait up…more blog posts are coming!".
