After seeing the cherry blossoms in DC on Sunday we headed to Alexandria for a bite to eat. We have a few "favorites" down in Old Town so it's always a bit of a decision to try to decide what we are in the mood for. This day was no different! However, I think the decision making process was a little faster since we were so hungry! So, we decided on Bertucci's. John loves the pizza, and I love the mozzarella and caprese salad with grilled chicken. Don't forget the raspberry tea!
I love the streets of Old Town in the spring! It is already such a pretty, quaint area…and, then, when you add in budding trees and blossoming flowers dotted about…well, it looks like something out of a magazine. And, believe me, lots of other people must think so, too, because there are lots of tourists out and about during the spring and summer months here. We have still been having some chilly weather so I think everyone was so excited to have such a beautiful day, as there were lots of people strolling along, drivers enjoying their convertibles, and dogs loving life as their owners were more than willing to take a longer walk!
The motorcycles had been dusted off and shined to perfection! You could hear them coming from far away as they revved up their engines and made their way towards the water. It's always neat to stroll down to that area because you will usually spot lots of motorcycles parked around Starbucks or other nearby hangouts. This motorcycle above was really something! Had to snap a picture for my brother to see as it came zooming by!
And, when you just think it cannot get any better…any prettier…spring cannot be singing any more loudly than it already is…well, that's when you look up to find even more beauty!
