I know it's been out for a long time now, but I used to love reading the book "Charlotte's Web". I need to find that book…it was one of my favorites! I happened to catch the movie on this afternoon and became entranced in the story all over again. And, so did Tucker! :) One day when we have children this will definitely be a story I want them to read and watch. It has such a beautiful message, and I love how it encourages us to see beyond the outside of someone…and, to look inward to find out what they are really all about.
Another sweet story that we just happened to come across about halfway through was "My Dog Skip"…have you seen this? Well, it also has the sweetest storyline and is so touching. Tucker was so funny…his ears would perk up every time he heard "Skip" barking, and honestly, he watched the tv as though he was so interested. He likes movies that have a few of the furry kind in them! haha This movie was a tearjerker though. It just really showed the love that exists between a boy (or, girl) and his dog. We might have to find this movie again because I know John would like it. He was watching some movie that Tucker and I were not into so we headed over to the other room to check out something more to our liking.

Speaking of "something to my liking"…ah, this picture would be it! This was a sunset we caught while in the Cayman Islands. I just love how the sun is still trying to peek through the clouds, and then, on the right side it looks as though it is about the middle of the day. This picture was made out at Rum Point, a cute little spot on the island that we had fun checking out. There were some shops here, a restaurant, and a great beach area with hammocks, a dock, and cute cafe. Just perfect for an afternoon getaway, wouldn't you say?!!

I took my second grade class to the Shakespeare Festival to see Charlotte’s Web. It was fabulous!! I love to read the book to my class each year and show them both versions of the movie. It was a special treat this year to actually see the play, though. Another good book to share with your children is Little Women. It was one of my favorites growing up and my son even read it when he was in third grade. Sometimes, when I’m feeling bad or sick in bed, he will ask me if I want him to watch the movie with me. He knows this will cheer me up and get me to moving again. One of Shawn’s favorite dog movies to check out is Cats and Dogs. It is so funny! You would love watching it and so would Tucker!
