What a beautiful site Lake Alster is in Hamburg, Germany ~ so many sailboats out and rowers enjoying the perfect temps of the season! It’s a lovely place to take a stroll, and we had such fun enjoying lunch at the cutest cafe on the water! If you know me or have hung out with me here or on Facebook, then, you are well aware of my love for water and beautiful sailboats! So, yes, this scene is my cuppa tea!
We have passed through Germany for various trips but have not been back to stay since we lived here several years ago. We lived in the cutest little town in southern Germany. This is our first visit to Hamburg, and my camera is loving all the photo ops! 🙂
What a beautiful sight to look up to find our flag waving in the breeze! Makes home feel a bit closer!
And, as I strolled about, I was just in awe of all the beautiful trees and turning leaves. The weeping willow trees are so big and pretty. I just love them! I loved the tree above and how its leaves just created ART all along the trunk!
With the weather being almost as perfect as a spring day, well, how could one resist having ICE CREAM?!! {Well, I could, but I’m not much of an ice cream girl!} City Center was packed with people of all ages, and you must stay alert for all the bicycles! Yep, one must pay attention and not become too consumed with taking in all there is to see! Oh, my…a bit difficult for me since I am always so busy snapping pics! Luckily, I stayed alert and got tons of photos to share with you!
Stay tuned…I have lots of interesting and beautiful sights for you to see…grab your comfy shoes, a wrap, and let’s meet at that cute cafe for TEA! *Oh, can’t wait to share the tea shoppe I found with you!
Hugs from Hamburg! 🙂
