I hope you know that you are much stronger than you think you are at times…think about all the many things you have accomplished or pushed through…that, at the moment when it was taking place you would have thought you just didn’t have the ability or strength to even begin to work through it…let alone survive it!!

It’s amazing how we can sometimes forget what we are truly capable of.  There are so many things in life that can try to cover up our abilities, making us feel a bit defeated, unsure, or insecure.

We all deal with them…you are not alone if they find a path straight to your heart at times.

I imagine you can think of a time when you were faced with doing something that you just didn’t feel quite prepared for.  Maybe it was a new role at your job, accepting a position in your church, travel, approaching your health in a new way…the list could go on and on.  Now, think about that same situation and how you embraced it.  Sure, maybe it was a struggle, but I want you to look at where you are now in regards to that very test you experienced.  It is quite possible that you have now accepted things in life since then simply because you made the effort to work through those difficult moments.  Recognize your accomplishments, and be proud of them.

And, let me tell you a little secret that you may forget sometimes…while it is nice for others to recognize our accomplishments, our strides in the right direction, achievement of our goals, well, it is not the only place this acknowledgement can come from.  When YOU take time to see all that you are capable of, applaud yourself, and accept that “congrats” from your heart…well, that is the real reward.  Maybe you are going through a time where you wish someone would just take notice of your efforts and how far you have come.  In the meantime, I hope you will throw a party for yourself… BE PROUD OF YOU!!!  That is the first step to a real celebration of this kind!

You ROCK…be sure to tell yourself this today!! 🙂
