TULIPS…Oh, yes…they are truly one of my favorite things! I love this time of year because you begin to see them in stores and popping up in flower beds. And, yes, you know I am yet again wishing I had planted those bulbs last year! haha They are like little surprises though…one day they are not there…and, then, it seems as if overnight you begin to see bursts of color all around. When we lived in Germany we saw the most beautiful tulips. I couldn't wait for spring to arrive so I could see the flower beds coming to life. I can remember telling my mom that you would even see tulips growing in the Germans' gardens…right alongside the lettuce and other veggies. I always thought that was so neat and such a good idea…to have spots of colorful blooms right in the veggie garden! And, it was while we were living there that I really begin to realize just how many different types of tulips there are. I do love the ones with the ruffled edges! I will dig out some of my Germany pictures soon so I can share some of this beauty with you. Oh, we loved going to Rothenburg and seeing all the fields of tulips there. I'll be sure to post some pics of those gardens for sure.
Each day it is getting a little warmer, and although it is going to be a little cool again next week…well, I am going to enjoy these spring temperatures! Or, as the weatherman said…temperatures that are more like those we would expect in May. :) Sometimes when I am working at my computer I realize just how the birds are singing…and, there are so many of them right outside my window! I love it, and it kinda helps to give my mind a break from whatever I am working on for a bit.
I've been busy working on new belt buckle designs, new designs for note cards for spring and Easter…these will also make great gifts…especially for those college girls and any ladies that love sweet notes. And, of course, some may be personalized so they are extra special! Stay tuned…lots of fun stuff ahead!!

My mom will certainly agree with this one! She has always said there is something therapeutic about digging in the dirt and planting flowers. I do have to agree! Although I don't really seem to have too much time to devote to gardening…well, there is something about digging around in the dirt, planting pretty flowers, and watching them bloom and grow. I know I have had days where I thought, "I just need to get outside a little…maybe get my hands in the dirt and enjoy a little outdoor therapy!". Do you like to garden? What are your favorite flowers to plant? I have a favorite one I love to plant, and it's even more fun to watch it bloom. Hmmm…I'll save it though and let you guess a little about what it might be! teeheehee
