We are a little late getting my mom’s latest artwork posted for the Summer of Color 2: Ice Cream event, but you know how the summer is…full of all sorts of good stuff!  And, well, let’s be honest…do we really need schedules during the summer??!!  My mom seems to think so…I keep trying to change her mind! 🙂  This artwork is just a fun piece my mom did for the Baseball Nut ice cream flavor prompt.  Remember how she talks about sometimes being that “fly by the seat of my pants” kind of chick??  Well, she was for this one.  I don’t think she had even decided what she was going to do for the prompt…she was still thinking on it…and, she just decided to whip up a cupcake one day.  The colors seem to go along with the color prompt…kind of…sort of…in her way!! heehee  I do believe it’s based on vanilla, blackberries, and cashews.

Well, if you mix vanilla and blackberries you will get PINK, right??  That woman {my sweet mama} is all about working a bit o’ PINK into anything she can!!  Look out, folks…yep, she even tries to put it on me!!  Here’s a little secret…the woman has started hoarding {ok, I know that sounds a little harsh…but, ah, let’s use it for lack of a better word!} trash!! I mean, let me tell you…I watch her, and she stops every time she is about to throw away a box of sorts.  I think it’s becoming an issue, but not to worry…I’ve got my eyes on her! 🙂  Honestly, I suppose she’s just playing the recycle game!  And, well, I think it’s pretty nifty even if I do give her a hard time!  So, this cute creation is an original design and is created on cardboard!!  Yep, that’s right, and I gotta tell ya…it is so cute!

What is so awesome is that this is a new little series my mom is doing…she’s calling them “heARTs of whimsy” ~ one side has cute, original {whimsical} artwork on it, and the other side has a note from my mom’s heart that she has handwritten just for you!  These will make a sweet gift for a friend, teacher, parent…anyone that needs a little encouragement, artistic SMILE, or a thoughtful reminder of how special they are.  The note is encouraging, uplifting, inspiring, and full of love…straight from my mama’s heart!  Bet you can think of someone that would love one of these, can’t you??  The recipient can frame the artwork..will be so cute like this because it will have a 3D effect…or, it can be displayed on a cute stand…or, just stand it next to a fave cup or such!

We want you to LIVE THE LIFE YOU DREAM so this is a sweet reminder to make sure you are doing things on a daily basis that get you closer and closer to what is in your heart!  You can enjoy this sweet artwork in your favorite space or give it to a friend that needs a little “heart lift”… that little thing that reminds them that you believe in them!! We all need that, folks…c’mon, open your arms and start spreadin’ the LOVE!!!  The “Cupcake Inspiration Dream” artwork is in the shoppe now!

New art is coming, and you’ll want to be sure to see what my mom does with the next Summer of Color 2 prompt…it’s got PINK in it so my mom won’t have to try to sneak it in there!!  🙂
