Summer Lovin’ ~ You know it’s all about those little things that put a smile on your face when you’re enjoying the sunshine and trying to find ways to beat the heat! For me, I love looking out to find some of my favorite flowers blooming on the patio. Looks as though this Purslane must have given me some inspiration as I was doing a little art in my studio! But, you know I’m always inspired by PINK!
I love it when the blue herons fly in for a visit! They spread those huge wings far and wide as they sail across the pond and elegantly land for a little fishing. Sometimes they enjoy hanging out in the trees so they can have the optimal view!
I absolutely love finding heart shaped treasures anywhere! I found ALL of these on the beach one day…yes, same day, same walk…I even found two more after these! Now, that’s a whole lotta LOVE!!
I had such fun watching this {BRAVE} girl come to life! I love how with a few brushstrokes, colorful additions, and more lines her personality begins to shine through!
I won’t ever tire of watching these guys!! They are so entertaining…putting on a show for all to see! Love how this one just looks like he’s skipping through life…happy as can be!! Hope you are, too!!
Happy Weekend!! Make it a good one!! 🙂

Hello there,
I’m so excited to see your new art girls, they are soooo pretty. Love that PINK girl, so girlie!! Your brave girl is sweet, love the hair and the background mixed colors, so pretty. I can tell you had fun with them.
WOW all those hearts in one day, that is sooo cool. Do you keep them? I would put them on a wall or shelf in my house for sure, that is a LOT OF LOVE!!
Beautiful birds and ocean, so peaceful there. Enjoy your weekend also!!
Hi Dawn!! Thank you so much!! I’m so happy that you like my new art girls…they’ve been wanting to make a debut! Now, I find myself wanting to give them all PINK hair!! LOL Yes, I was so excited to keep finding those hearts…I could not believe that I would take a few steps and find another one smiling up at me!! Yes, I do keep them, and I am thinking of lining these up/securing them on one of the wood pieces I found on the beach one day and hanging it in our home…think it would make a fun piece of ART!! Can’t ever have too much LOVE, now can we?!! The beach is just my happy place, for sure!! Hugs to you!!
I was just doing a little blog hopping and found you – so I just signed up for your e-mail notification of new posts.

On Facebook look for my group page: WESTIES HEALTH — FROM EARS TO TAIL [are you a member already?] – I only allow health related questions on westies on this group page. Great source of info on our white little fur-kids.
All the best,

[this shows all the American Girl doll clothing I’m making that will go with McKenna in October. She will be auctioned off to raise money for the WESTIE FOUNDATION OF AMERICA at Montgomery. Last year I donated Molly with 400 pieces of clothing – crazy for one little girl to have so much for one doll!
Hi Katie!! Tucker and I are so happy to “meet” you!! So happy you found our blog and thank you so much for signing up for my posts. 🙂 And, many thanks for your sweet words about Tucker…he is truly our heart and soul and so loving! We actually adopted him when we were living in Germany many years ago from a lady there that raised them. It was love at first hug {sight}!! I’ve just visited your FB page…thanks so much for sharing it with me…looking fwd to keeping up with it. Hope you are having a fun summer!! Hugs!!
Hello Ann-Margaret! My you have a beautiful view their in FL! We certainly don’t see heron like that here but we do have plenty of those entertaining sea gulls….in fact we fed them on the beach yesterday. Your paintings are beautiful – you really have natural talent, Ann-Margaret! I have a friend who would love the one with the pink hair – half her hair is actually pink! And the eyes and are so expressive on the second painting. Are they modeled after real people that you know?
Have a happy day creating and keeping out of the heat! 🙂
Hi Sweet Cindy!! Always love hearing from you, girlie!! Thank you…I do love the view here so much!! Those sea gulls are so much fun to watch, aren’t they?!! 🙂 Did you get some fun pics of the boys feeding them? Oh, thank you so much for your sweet compliments about my art…it means so much to me!! Oh, my, I love it…your friend has PINK hair!! 🙂 Of course, you know I love PINK so I think giving some of my girls that shade just kinda came about one day…I remember doing one and thought “She should have pink hair!”. I loved how it turned out and find that I keep wanting to give that PINK glow to more girls!! LOL It is neat that you ask if they are modeled after real people…they are not, but I have often finished a sketch and realize that it looks like someone I know! 🙂 Hope y’all are having tons of fun at the beach!!
