There’s just something about a cute LOVE BUG Volkswagen, isn’t there?!! Kinda makes you just want to grab your flip flops, throw a hat on, put the top down, and head out for a little fun in the sun! My sister has loved these cute cars for as long as I can remember! Must be something in our blood because here’s a little tidbit of info for you…my granddaddy owned a Volkswagen dealership so yep, my daddy had a convertible Love Bug at one time, too! I’ll have to see if I can get some pictures of it to share here with you! 🙂 At the end of August, my sister finally got her very own Love Bug and was just like a kid at Christmas! She had always wanted this pretty silvery blue color with the tan interior and finally found one that she fell in love with! And, I just gotta say…the girl is stylin’ in her new car!! She loves it….even drives with the top down when it is freezing outside! All this talk is making want to watch “Herbie, the Love Bug” movie again!
It’s true…there’s not much cuter than the back of one of these sassy little cars!! My sister came to see us back in late August when she was close by for meetings, and we had the best time taking her little bug out for a drive. John and I took her to our favorite Mexican restaurant and drove home with the top down. She even insisted I drive, and I must say…made me think I might just like a PINK bug!! Couldn’t you just see that?!! 🙂 What would be even better is to see John stepping out of a PINK bug!! 🙂 LOL
We stayed up late talking and laughing…just like sistas do!
She looked at all my latest jewelry designs and picked out quite a few…
Even made many comments about which ones she just had to have!
Dropped subtle hints about really needing a LOVE BUG pendant…
Bet she thought I wasn’t paying attention…I was…always am!
Think I even heard her say that she would LUV to have a bracelet…
With a variety of Love Bugs on it…
Really…hmm…I bet you would!!
Lucky for her that her birthday was just around the corner ~
She loves sunflowers so I made sure to add one in the cute little vase! Doesn’t get more personalized than this, now does it?!! Well, that’s what Ann-Margaet’s is all about ~ personalizing your favorite items and creating something that is sure to make you SMILE!! 🙂 {{Find this cute Zebra Love Bug pendant in my shop.}}
And, because I know how much she loves bright colors, I decided to create a double sided pendant for her. She also loves lime green so I made sure to put a cute lime green bug on the other side! Then, I remembered her comment about lots of Love Bugs…and, my mind started thinking…designing…creating…and, this is what I came up with ~
Even though her birthday was in November, I decided I would keep the Love Bug bracelet until we went home for Christmas. She had forgotten about saying that she would love something with lots of Love Bugs on it so it was such fun to see the expression on her face when she opened that cute pink box! She was so excited!! And, so was I ~ because isn’t that what GIVING is truly about…surprising someone, giving them a special gift…maybe even an unexpected gift…and, watching their face light up because it really does mean so much when someone lets us know they care! 🙂
Here’s to making someone SMILE…
Brightening up someone’s day JUST BECAUSE…
And, then, realizing that you feel as though you’ve been given a gift, too!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
Oh how fun!! I too had a bug, actually two. Both my mom and my step dad had them when they met, and I acquired both, one and then the other, when I started driving. I love them too!
Hi Chrissy! Thanks so much for stopping by, girlfriend! Oh, what fun…a “2 bug” family!! And, that’s so cute that they both had one when they met! They are such fun…can’t be denied! 🙂
Khaliah, thanks so much for your comment! She says she wears her new “jewels” all the time! She was “over the moon” about them…love it when I can surprise someone with something they will really enjoy! 🙂
OMG, what a sweet sister you are, I can only imagine your sister’s face when she saw that darling bracelet! I’m sure it’s quickly become one of her prized possessions! Those cars are really cute and I agree even better from the back : )
